After Antarctica
February 29th, 2016It has been a month since the team returned from the cold, stark, breathtaking (especially at altitude!) continent of Antarctica. With each day that passes, it is becoming unequivocally clear that life will never and can never be the same. We have all cleaned up pretty well (a civilian teammate who shall remain nameless did not even recognize me sitting next to him at the opera two weeks ago). No-one would ever know what we have been through to look at us now. But I think I speak for the team when I suggest that our “normal” external aspect belies internal lives that are changed forever. For the better.
